Round 3 of the Gymkhana SA Championship sees 2 different routes. The thinking behind this was to bring the field closer together and offer both fast and tight routes.

Scoring will also be working a bit different. We will score each runs position instead of the time. Winner of a run gets 1 point, 10th will get 10 points etc. Lowest points win. Out of 6 runs we will drop the worst 1x position. This means that each competitor will be scored on their top 5 position.

Where the faster cars have and advantage on the longer route, the small cars have the advantage on the tighter route.

With the routes catering for both the faster AND slower cars, we expect a tight battle for overall honors.

It’s time for round 3 and we have decided to change up the event format a bit. Not only does the format change for this round, but the scoring will be a bit different as well.

So lets see what has changed…

1. We will be using the WHOLE track. There will be fast and flowing parts and yes, there WILL be tight and twisty sections.
2. One car will run at a time
3. All position scored together MINUS your worst position. So this means that if we do 6 runs for the day, you will score your best 5.
4. Dial in run changes as well. Your final run will be your dial-in run AND it scores towards overall position.
5. Entries will be limited to 45 ONLY. This is to ensure that we get all the runs done in time. So GET YOUR ENTRIES IN IMMEDIATELY!!!
6. IF we do not have a full field on the day you will be able to enter at the track. IF we have 45 entries, unfortunately you will have to wait until round 4.
7. Passangers will be allowed ONLY if they have signed the indemnity and has a yellow/orange tag on their arms.
8. Helmets will be compulsory again! (Routes 4-6)
9. To classify as a finisher, you will have to complete all the runs of the day minus 1. EG. if we run 6 runs, you HAVE to complete at least 5.
10. Prize Giving will only take place AFTER ALL CONES HAVE BEEN PACKED UP!
11. Penalties remain the same.
    - 5sec per cone
    - 5sec for a Overshoot
    - 999sec for a wrong route
    - Reckless and dangerous driving – EXCLUSION
    - Hitting the Timing System – EXCLUSION

In the bustling province of Gauteng lived a woman by the name of Mary Motorsport. She was beautiful, desirable and everybody’s favourite friend.
